Last week, we had so much fun with our plant absorption experiment. This science lesson was inspired by a post Paging Fun Mum’s. Be sure to follow the link to her post to learn more about the materials you will need to prepare this lesson-How Plants Absorb Water.
I used a box of 6 mason jars, and they were the perfect size for the experiment.
My kids really liked watching the cabbage change into vibrant colors. It was really great to see the expressions on their faces when they came to the conclusion that plants absorb the water through the stems. This lead to a discussion about other plants and flowers we could use for this experiment. Remember to check out Paging Fun Mums to learn more about this fun science activity!
