I am in LOVE with the new centers we have for you this July.  I was sure to include a variety of Literacy Centers you can use with your firsties whether July is the beginning of the year or the end of the year.  Keep scrolling to see what’s in store for this month!

I have some center ideas that incorporate skills that are typically great for June! Whether you write these ideas down and pull them from your sources, or you already own my 1st Grade Literacy Centers Bundle, you have stumbled upon the right place for all things 1st Grade Literacy Centers.

Word Families: Students will create words using the word family cards.

Read and Draw July: Students will read the directions and draw a picture as the instructions state.

What Would Happen If?  Students will work in pairs or groups to talk about “What Would Happen If” using the question prompts.

CVCC PuzzlesStudents will say the sounds and blend the CVCC words.

Clip It “ed” Endings: Students will say the word and clip the sound they hear at the end of the word.

Count the Syllables: Students will say the sounds and blend the CVCC words.

Secret Code Words: Students will use the secret code to create the hidden words.

Sequencing Station: 1st Grade Center Activities for July Students will read the directions and pair the pictures with the directions.

Antonym Puzzles: Students will find the antonyms/opposites and match them.

Sentence Pyramid Fluency: Students will read the sentence pyramid fluency sentences and write the answer the question about the sentence.
