Just wanted to show you a few ways we are using my “December Math and Literacy Centers” in my classroom this holiday season. I have always been one to try to keep things academic in the classroom, even in the month of December when the excitement is at it’s highest.
This packet contains 10 different centers that are jam packed with skills for kindergarten and first grade. There are 5 literacy centers, and 5 math centers included. You will see the featured centers in the picture below. Be sure to grab my sampler freebie as well!
My kids LOVE playing dominos. This addition center will be a hit with my kiddos.
I have also included a base 10 number and quantity matching game. I am so excited to use this center for an early finisher because it is something my kids will be able to do independently.
Since we are working on contractions, I have included a contraction game where the kids have to match the words with the contractions. They are going to LOVE the cute little snowmen since we live in Arizona, and most of them have never seen snow!
Don’t forget to grab my Number WordWord freebie so you can try it before you buy it!
I hope you enjoyed this post! If you would like more ideas from me, be sure to follow me on Teachers Pay Teachers, Pinterest, and Facebook to stay posted with fabulous freebies and ideas!
Hi! I can’t find the addition dominos in your TPT, do you happen to have a direct link? 🙂 Thank you!!
Hi Monica! We will be rereleasing those in a Winter Centers freebie within the next few weeks. If you follow our Education to the Core page on Facebook, be on the lookout for that freebie packet. Thank you!
