Organization is key to starting the year off on the right foot. It can be such a struggle to get all the ducks in a row. There’s nothing worse than having all the extra stuff on your plate with no strategy to get it all done. I want to help you fix that! Here are 5 helpful tips to keep you organized this school year:
1. Use Binders
Binders will not only help you to keep everything in one spot, they will help because you know what goes where. You won’t ever forget anything for the copy room because it’s all in one place. I have found this to be particularly helpful with units on Teachers Pay Teachers.

2. Stack your stuff for the day.
Literally. Make a stack of everything you need from the beginning of the day until the end of the day. You’ll want what you need first on the top of the stack. This way, you are not looking for anything in the moment.
3. Get your centers in check!
There is nothing worse than not knowing what you are teaching at every center. That is why I created a guide so I could see in one glance what I am doing for each center. I just copy paste everything I need, then I print it out so I know exactly what I am doing:)

4. Write everything down!
Don’t wait to write stuff down. Have a list of things you need to do today, and a list of things you need to do by the end of the week/month/etc. I use the “notes” app in my phone. I just have a bolded list of things I need to do now, and a list for everything else. That along with my calendar helps me to do what I need to do and keeps me where I need to be:)
5. Let your students help you!
If you are feeling a little overwhelmed, think about what tasks you can give your students! They are extremely capable of keeping things organized and if you give them good directions, they can handle many tasks.
I hope these tips came at the right time! Enjoy your week!
