R-Controlled Vowel Mats: Students will read the r-controlled vowel passage and write all the r-controlled vowel words in the passage.

Students will read the Character Clip Card sentence and decide if it is fair or not fair.

Character Cards (Fairness): Students will read the Character Clip Card sentence and decide if it is fair or not fair.

Students will grab a subject card and write a sentence about that subject using the "Stretch a Sentence" mat.

Students will sort the word cards based on the part of speech.

Students will be categorizing verbs based on their synonyms using the puzzles.

Students will read the poetry passages and answer questions based on the passage.

Poetry Mats: Students will read the poetry passages and answer questions based on the passage.

Students will be reading the non-fiction passages and filling out a non-fiction graphic organizer for each mat.

Non-Fiction Discovery Mats: Students will read the poetry passages and answer questions based on the passage.

Students will be pulling cards from the "What Do You Think?" jar and asking and answering the questions with their peers.
