Let’s be honest, no matter how engaging your lesson is or how much work you put into your activities your students are always going to love the YouTube video. That is just the generation they are from! So we put together a list of 21 YouTube Channels for Teachers!
We are here to remind you not to feel ashamed of letting the YouTube channel take on a little bit of the work. If it is getting the point across, the students are learning, and they are loving it then add that video to your lesson. Take those 5-15 minutes of quiet time to sit down, actually drink your coffee, and prepare for your next part of that lesson.
YouTube Channels for Teachers 1 – Jack Hartmann
JackHartmann: Jack has made over 45 albums for children with over 1,000 super fun songs for children. The songs for kids and educational videos will help your children learn counting, numbers, reading and language skills, nursery rhymes, science, physical fitness, dance, and movement. Diverse children actively participate in all the learning with lots of movement and fun. Therefore, these songs for kids have a tremendous diversity of musical styles from pop, hip-hop, Latin, country, and rock.
2- Nat Geo Kids: Nat Geo Kids makes it fun to explore your world with weird, wild, and wacky videos, perfect for science teachers! For instance, there are videos featuring awesome animals, cool science, funny pets, and more, are made just for curious kids like you. So pick a topic you love and start watching today!
3 – The Learning Station: Tune into The Learning Station daily for a full serving of learning fun and educational videos for children brimming with active participation. These songs are filled with active participation, nursery rhymes, brain breaks for the classroom, learning videos, camp songs, dance, holiday songs, action songs. And not to mention our very popular move and freeze dance songs for children. Also, ESL songs for children combined with music and movement galore!
YouTube Channels for Teachers 4 – Aquarium of the Pacific
Aquarium of the Pacific: The Aquarium of the Pacific is one of the largest aquariums in the United States (and honestly one of my personal favorites). Its more than 500 species fill 19 major habitats and 32 focus exhibits. It takes visitors on a journey throughout the Pacific Ocean’s three regions. These include Southern California/Baja, the Tropical Pacific, and the Northern Pacific. The Aquarium of the Pacific’s mission is to instill a sense of wonder, respect, and stewardship for the Pacific Ocean, its inhabitants, and its ecosystems.
5- Numberock: Numberock makes animated, educational songs for kids that make math learning more fun and math teaching more effective! To date there are nearly 70 animated videos that cover mathematical concepts from 1st Grade – 5th Grade; with concepts like; Rounding Numbers, Ordering Decimals, Subtraction with Regrouping, 3D Shapes, Angles, Place Value, Multiplication Times Tables, and much more on the channel! Recently, the Numberock Channel started coming out with concepts for Pre-K and Kindergarten students like songs that teach kids about the months of the year, skip counting, showing numbers in different ways, and counting to 10, 20, and 100.
6- The Electric Company: Looking for a YouTube Channel you know your can trust? The Electric Company is just that! The Electric Company encourages literacy learning through the use of today’s freshest pop culture, original animations, toe-tapping music videos, and exciting narrative storylines.
YouTube Channels for Teachers 7 -Kidz Pop
The Kidz Pop Chanel: The official KIDZ BOP YouTube channel! Trust me, I know some of these songs can get stuck in your head, but there is nothing like bringing a little bit of your student’s world into the classroom. KIDZ BOP is the #1 music brand for kids in the U.S. This YouTube channel is THE place to watch all things KIDZ BOP! This channel is the only place where you can hear the most popular KIDZ BOP songs for free.
8- Scratch Garden: Want your students to be able to laugh and learn at the same time? Scratch Garden creates fun, educational videos for kids, educators, students, and anyone else that likes laughing and learning at the same time! And if you need a brain break from studying English or practicing Math, they also have many engaging videos for moving and dancing too! Scratch Garden also has always aimed to make entertaining videos that both adults and kids can enjoy at the same time, with original music and jokes that are suitable and enjoyable for any age group. To date, they have made videos about English, Science, Art, Math, Skip Counting, Coding, Social & Emotional Learning, and even Banana Pants! We also cover several Nursery Rhymes and Camp Songs in our own Scratch Garden way!
YouTube Channels for Teachers 9 – Juicebox Jukebox
The Juicebox Jukebox: Are you looking for more ways to bring character building, kindness, and team building themes into your classroom? This is a great channel for exactly that! The Juicebox Jukebox’s mission is to enrich children’s lives through fun, positive, and educational music and videos that parents and teachers can enjoy, too. They focus their songs on core subjects and character-building themes. They also offer a fresh perspective for students primarily in Pre-K through 2nd grade. In 2019, The Juicebox Jukebox launched “The Kindness Tour,” a live concert experience for schools, libraries, and festivals featuring a unique blend of live music performance and video production from our growing catalog of songs.
10 – Cool School: Welcome to Cool School where daring superheroes, funny storytellers, kooky arts & crafts teachers, and mean-o villains unite to learn, laugh, play…and fight (only sometimes)! Whether you’re going on exciting adventures with Drew Pendous, watching stories come to life with Ms. Booksy, or making exciting crafts with Crafty Carol, it’s never a boring day at Cool School! Our curriculum goes wherever your imagination will take it making it the COOLEST school ever!
YouTube Channels for Teachers 11 – Mr. DeMaio
Mr. DeMaio: Looking for something to pair with your people in history lessons? Or a dun video to put alongside a STEM project you and your class are working on? Mr. DeMaio creates educational content that is funny and full of unique points of view. This channel has videos on things like Einstien, snakes, and black holes! It is full of fun little quarks! Mr. DeMajo’s videos are a great way to keep students engaged on topics that could otherwise be a little mundane!
12- Go Noodle: GoNoodle gets kids moving to be their strongest, bravest, silliest, smartest, bestest selves. Get ready for a fun-filled day of dancing, stretching, running, jumping, deep breathing, and wiggling with GoNoodle. They post new videos every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday!
YouTube Channels for Teachers 13 – Phonics Man
Phonics Man: Wanting something engaging and fun to bring your next long vowel lesson? The Phonics Man YouTube Channel is the one for you to visit! The phonics man is a teacher who uses things that are popular in a kid’s world like Fortnite to teach them about things like sight words!
14 – Stephen Fite: Stephen Fite is a Children’s Musician and Songwriter of up-beat, rockin’ educational tunes for the classroom and living room. He has been performing large venue, field trip concerts throughout the South and Central United States since 1995. To date, he has sung for over 800,000 children, teachers and parents. He also presents teacher trainings and keynotes at local, state, and national conferences such as NAEYC, SECA, Frog Street Splash, SDE’s I Teach PreK & K, and more.
15 – UMIGO: UMIGO “yoU Make It GO” is a unique and innovative way for kids to learn math. UMIGO delivers a curriculum-based, interactive learning experience that encourages kids to think creatively, invent, & work collaboratively.
16 – Super Fun Show: Having trouble keeping your students focused on the lesson? Do you find yourself struggling to come up with ideas for brain breaks and ways to get the widdles out? The Super Fun Show videos for preschool children and Kindergarten are a great way to do just that. You can use these videos for things like brain breaks and help get out the wiggles and shakes. There are also videos on classroom management strategies and ideas!
YouTube Channels for Teachers 17 – Mr. R
Mr. R: Classroom-friendly songs written and performed by an elementary math & science specialist. Use these songs as a fun, engaging way to introduce and reinforce math, science, and language to your learners. Mr. R. was a math education specialist in NYC. He also taught in Northern California, Ghana, and Thailand. This bass, guitar, keyboard, saxophone player, drummer, recording engineer, marathoner, and cyclist makes songs that encourages students.
18 –ABC Mouse: ABCmouse.com Early Learning Academy is a comprehensive online learning program for children. Available on computers, tablets, and smartphones, ABCmouse.com and their YouTube Channel help children build a strong foundation for academic success. The curriculum encompasses lessons for pre-school, pre-k, kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grad. It includes reading and language arts, math, science, social studies, health, art, and music.
19 –Peter Weatherall: Are you looking for some content for your next science lesson or research project? Here is a great addition to your next lesson. This channel focuses on science topics like amphibians, birds, fish, and plants.
20 –Rock ‘N Learn: Rock ‘N Learn has entertaining, educational videos for toddlers and kids up through fifth grade and older. We have videos for baby’s first words, preschool, nursery rhymes, favorite kids’ songs, and videos for learning many languages. Also, you will find videos for reading, math, and science.
YouTube Channels for Teachers 21 – Coach Corey Martin
Coach Corey Martin: Do you have some little athletes in your class? Check out some of these videos to catch the attention of those sports fans. Coach Corey Martin has a deep passion for using technology to keep kids active and engaged. His career as a professional baseball player was followed by a 10-year teaching career. Five of those years came at the middle school level and 5 at elementary school. My mission with this channel is to spread positivity to every person that I reach!
