You’ve packed up your classroom and inventoried your leftover supplies. So, what’s next? Shopping on Amazon is next, of course!🛒🛒

If you are a brand-new teacher or a teacher seeking some new ideas for supplies, you may be thinking about what you want and your must-haves for your classroom. Well, you are at the right place! So let us help you with these 25 Amazon Must-Haves for the New School Year. My shopping list has both #7 and #13 right at the top!

Amazon Must-Haves for Organization

  1. Seville Classics 10-Drawer: Multipurpose Mobile Rolling Utility Storage Organizer has four casters (two locking casters), allowing the cart to go where you need between whole and small groups. I put all of my word work activities in these bins for literacy groups.

2. Transparent Hanging Pocket Chart:  If you don’t have one of these and can’t think of anything to use it for, let me tell you: 36 pockets that are perfect for 36 pairs of earbuds! Add a name label to each, and every child will have a storage spot for their earbuds. Or I put all of my Sound Wall Cards into the slots for easy access as we build the wall throughout the school year.

3. Can you imagine the possibilities with this Magnetic Curtain Rod!?!  I use this every day to hold all of my anchor charts in one place.  It’s so lovely to keep them all together and then rotate them when I need them!

4. Westcott School Scissor Caddy with 24 Pointed 5″ Kids Scissors: I like to use scissor caddies when my class does cutting rather than having their scissors at their desks daily. This caddy has saved my room from a few unnecessary haircuts!

5. 26 Drawer Plastic Parts Storage Hardware and Craft Cabinet: I need endless storage for tiny pieces such as paper clips, mini erasers, and thumbtacks!

Must-Haves for Creating

6. Paper Mate Flair Felt Tip Pens, Assorted 12 count:  I love Flair pens and use them all of the time in my classroom, especially when grading. The kids love seeing the different colors on their papers; I love the smooth writing. I can never have enough!

7. EXPO 80078 Low Odor Dry Erase Markers, Chisel Tip:  Expo markers are in my room and typically worth the extra price in stores. But then I found these on Amazon and am stocking up. It is an eight different color chisel tip pack; also, you will love the fact that these are low odor. My students use them all of the time with their Word Mapping Mats

8. Ticonderoga Pencils, Pre-sharpened 72 Pack:  Most teachers know that Ticonderoga is the best pencil ever. And unfortunately, most classrooms have magically disappearing pencils. Keep a box of these pre-sharpened pencils on hand so that whenever a child needs a replacement pencil, you are ready. I am thrilled with this large pack for such a low price!

9. X-ACTO School Pro Classroom Electric Pencil Sharpener:  in my opinion, it is the best of the best! This sharpener lasts!

10. Smelly Chart  Markers!!!  Do I even need to elaborate more on this one?  Who doesn’t love the smell of Mr. Sketch Markers while making anchor charts?

11. School Smart Chart Tablet: When creating those great anchor charts, you will need an equally excellent chart tablet! Both 10 and 11 together are perfect for my anchor charts, and then I hang them on the magnetic rods mentioned in #3.

And…

12. Pacon Construction Paper, 10 Assorted Colors, 500 Sheets: We will be using these to back all of our fun Name Activities for the hallway bulletin board.

13. Astrobrights Colored Cardstock, Assorted Colors:   I never seem to have enough cardstock when creating those great products I purchase from ETTC. For any project that I plan on laminating, I put on cardstock to give it a little extra stability. Astrobrights is my favorite brand due to the bright colors and quality of the paper. You need this now!

14. Now that you printed out all your products on some great cardstock,  you’re going to want them to last forever!  This Scotch Pro Laminator, with anti-jam technology, will help your cherished work last for a long time. Perfect for putting together your literacy and math centers

15. You can’t have a laminator without having a massive pile of laminating sheets ready to go!  These Scotch Pouches are the perfect match!

Amazon for Student Work

16. Magnetic Whiteboard Dry Erasers, 40 Pack:  First graders will use their expo markers daily so you will need some good quality erasers.

17. Dry Erase Pockets 30 Pack:  Slide any paper copy worksheet into these pockets, and you’ve created a reusable work task! I love to toss some I Spy activities into these pouches for early finisher work.

18. Dry Erase Clipboards, Set of 30:  These clipboards are great for whole groups, small groups, and centers.

19. Amazon Basics Sheet Protector – Non-Glare, 100-Pack: I set up binders for ELA centers, Math centers, and small group work. Students can write with expo markers, and that means fewer copies! I also use these for my calendar engagement mats

20. Ruyixws four-pack Digital Kitchen TimersThese timers are small, magnetic, and colorful. Whether it be for a child needing a little quiet time away or an alert to when work time is over, and recess begins, these timers work great in the classroom. I keep them in my calming spots in the room and also with my small groups’ cart.

Needs for Fun and Extra

21. Orwine Squishies 28 pieces:  These little squishies are perfect as part of a calming spot or for fidgety hands during listening activities. The set includes 28 of them, so each kiddo can have their own when a little sensory is needed. At 50 cents each, the price is unbeatable!

22. First Day Jitters, by Julie Danneberg: “FIRST DAY JITTERS is an enchanting story that is sure to be treasured by anyone who has ever anticipated a first day of school.”

23. Hook & Loop Self-Adhesive Dots: I snagged some velcro dots for my classroom while putting together this list! I use them for personal schedules, calming boards, calendar days and numbers, and more! And I’m super excited to use them for my Phonics Word Building Mats this year!

24. Play-Doh, 36-Pack: Not my favorite activity, but my kiddos love playing with Play-Doh! And it is great for strengthening those fine motor muscles.

25. Learning Resources Answer Buzzers: These buzzers are fun for work games in the classroom!  The buzzers encourage everyone to participate!

I know that your shopping list for your classroom must be overwhelming! However, I hope that we have helped narrow down your searches or enlightened you to some new ideas!
