I can’t be more excited to share my March Centers with you! You will find a variety of phonics, language, vocabulary, and listening & speaking activities with these March centers.

I provided a great review of essential kindergarten skills, first grade skills, and a few little glimpses into second and third grade skills. These centers will be beneficial to any first grade classroom!

Read and Draw

Character Trait Sort

Students will describe characters trait examples from the examples provided, and explain how their actions fall under each trait.

R-Controlled Vowels Football

Students will read words with r-controlled vowel sounds and match them to the picture.  Students will then place each match in the appropriate r-controlled vowel goal!

Poppin’ Sight Word Bubbles

Students will recognize and read grade-appropriate irregularly spelled words in the middle of the mat and pop the same word on the mat.

Sentence Scramble Puzzles

Students will produce sentences by rearranging the picture puzzles.

Build a Caterpillar: Vowel Teams

Students will match words to their vowel teams using the caterpillar mats.
