These centers contain a great review of essential kindergarten skills, first grade skills, and a few little glimpses into second and third grade skills. Let’s dive in and see what we have for April!
Read and Draw: Your students will love reading the prompts and drawing a picture on the mats. We didn’t leave one detail out, as these Read and Draw Mats even come with picture prompts.
Sight Word Sentence Mats: Students will be working with sight words and repeated sentences with familiar objects. This makes for great review with common sight words, familiar words, and sentence structure.
Types of Sentences: Just print, laminate, and cut. Now your students have a variety of sentences to practice different sentence types.
Ending Blends: Students will look at the picture, say the words, and circle the ending blend in the word. To take the learning further, they will write the word with the ending blend.
Build a Caterpillar: Trigraphs: Students will be building their trigraphs caterpillars by placing the words on the caterpillar.
Alphabetical Order: Students will be sorting through different categories of words. Just print on colored paper to make sure all your pieces don’t get mixed up:)
Fact and Opinion Sort: Students will be sorting facts and opinions with their fact and opinion mats.
Students will be reading the sentences and making an inference based on the sentence on the inference mat.
Would You Rather? This center is great for getting students interacting and improving their speaking and listening skills.
Collective Nouns Puzzles: Students will be putting together puzzles that include nouns and collective nouns. April’s Collective Nouns Puzzles include animals.
Right now, I am sure you are probably thinking, “This is exactly what I have been looking for!!! How in the world do I get my hands on these?!?
