When I first started teaching I could not deal with the lack of meaningful phonics activities provided by the adopted programs. I disliked wasting so much paper knowing that only 4-5 application problems were on each side with no interaction from the students. I did not like that my kids had absolutely no variety, and the structure of these worksheets were the exact same, day after day, week after week. I needed something else. So I started making my own activities. I would sit down and night and spend hours creating activities my students would love. After using these activities for a few weeks, I noticed the culture of my classroom started to change. My students became EXCITED about their learning. They couldn't get enough of the aligning phonics activities I was creating for them. Then I thought if my students could benefit, so could others. So I started listing them on TPT. And the craziest thing happened...teachers loved them! And they wanted more and more!
