The Root of it All: Students will be analyzing root words and coming up with new words that are related. They will be drawing a picture of the new word and writing a definition of that new word.
What Did They Say? Students will be reading passages and answering questions based on what the characters said in each passage.
Character Cards: Patience: Students will be reading several scenarios and deciding whether or not it is an example or non example of patience.
Name Alliteration: Students will be creating their own alliterations based on their name. They will be coming up with vocabulary (or using pictures) to create an alliteration poem.
Irregular Verbs: Students will be reading sentences and deciding which irregular verb is used in the sentence.
Commas in a Series: Students will be reading the sentences and inserting the commas where they belong.
Character Analysis: Students will be reading several stories about characters and analyzing their character traits using either of the two graphic organizers provided.
Author’s Purpose: Students will be reading several passages and determining the author’s purpose.
Group Stories: Students will be working in collaboration to write and illustrate a story together.
Map Skills: Students will be matching the map vocabulary with the picture and definition by completing the puzzles.
