If you are planning on doing a Pumpkin Life Cycle Unit in October, we have the resources you need to make this a memorable learning experience. Integrate Science, Literacy and Writing by reading about the Pumpkin Life Cycle. This unit includes vocabulary activities, graphic organizers, an interactive pumpkin book, and a mini book. I have also included two Interactive Notebook Pieces and a Number Bond Math Activity.

Of course you will need the mini-books for your close reading. Get those highlighters out and start annotating! Both color and black and white options for your printer and pocket book are included!
I use these graphic organizers to help my kiddos arrange their thoughts when they are reading. I also love using graphic organizers for their pre-writing activities.
Pumpkin vocabulary will be discussed throughout, with new words added to the wall as they are introduced.
This has always been a favorite activity for my kiddos. They really like making a book the shape of a pumpkin. This is great for a better understanding of the Pumpkin Life Cycle and solidifying vocabulary.
My kids can not practice number bonds enough, so I created them and included them as a bonus to you! I hope your kids enjoy them as much as mine do. I also included a vocabulary page as a bonus so the kids can glue them into their journals and write the vocabulary words under the flaps. You can see how I used the vocabulary in my Apple Unit by clicking the link here. I also created a recipe page where the kids can make their own pumpkin recipe and write it under their recipe cover.
