Helpful Visual Support for Building Number Sense

These math strategy posters provide clear and accessible reminders of important mental math strategies. The visuals help students develop confidence when solving problems and encourage them to think flexibly about numbers rather than relying on a single method.

I appreciate that the posters can be referenced during lessons, small groups, math centers, and independent work. They support mathematical discussions and help students explain their thinking using a variety of strategies.

One area for improvement would be including more student-friendly examples or multiple versions for different grade levels. Some strategies may require additional teacher modeling before students can use the posters independently.

Overall, this is a useful resource for creating a math-rich classroom environment and reinforcing efficient problem-solving strategies. The posters serve as a valuable reference tool that students can use throughout the school year

I love these posters! It is helpful for me as a teacher to see what strategies students can use, and for my students to see which strategy works best for them. I'm planning to make the ring booklets for them to grab whenever they feel stuck with a math problem (the black and white version, so they can color them in as well!), but also to hang the posters in my classroom. Lovely artwork also!
