As a kindergarten and past preschool teacher, writing students' names is one of the first things we work on when school starts.

I'd spend countless hours printing out names for students to trace, writing on sentence strips for students to cut apart and put back together, and bubble write letters on card stock for students to lay play dough on.

Activity #1 -- Vowels and Consonants

practice your name within a rainbow Students practice writing their names on the strips and then color them the colors of the rainbow.

#13 -- Roll and Write

roll the dice and write your name in different ways Roll a die and practice writing your name in different ways depending on the number rolled.

Activity #14 -- Pyramids

add a letter of your name to each line until it is spelled Students build their names within the pyramid by adding a letter in each row until they've completely spelled their name.

Activity #23 -- Name Maze

make your way through the maze by finding your name Find your way through the maze as you follow your name and spell it each time you pass it by. My students have already begun to enjoy doing some of these Editable Name Activities as they learn to spell, write, and identify the letters in their names. It is so nice to have an abundance of activities ready to be printed and used.
